"Early into the advancement of locomotion, Annex Corporation changed warfare with the 1N Series line of military grade walkers.

Designed to replace conventional infantry on the battlefield, the Venatu is a single pilot, light strike walker capable of making quick work of flesh and blood targets with its four 20mm auto cannons.

Its overall small size (3.5 meters by 16.8 metric tonnes) meant that the Venatu could reach impressive speeds and mobility.

Eventually the U.N's primary defense contractor, Lockredd Markein, soon improved on the locomotor technology for their own use. By the time the Bardiche entered active service, the Venatu become an inferior model against it. Annex, rather than waste resources creating new models, equipped them with two back mounted twin missile pods, but with limited effectiveness.

Despite that, it would still be used for patrols at many U.N bases as well as finding its way into the hands of militia.

The advantage of the Venatu lies in its hit-and-run abilities, and its effectiveness in great numbers to bring down much larger targets. It also could also replace its 'walker' legs for tank treads or all-terrain wheels."
