No problem! ^____^
Yup, I got a bit of a fascination towards mecha! ^_____^

My series is a homage, and influenced from MegaMan series, albeit, in a different way. :)

I also plan on including mechas(also influenced from Ride Armors of X series, and other mecha series) as well! ^_____^

It's on an alternate timeline in which Robots and Humans live together, my first series takes place in 2008. :)

Interesting. When I first saw it, I was reminded of this anime that aired back in the days called Super Inventor Boy Kanipan, which has a similar story and style.

Indeed ^_____^

Super Inventor Boy Kanipan??? That anime's awesome! :w00t:
I used to watch it back since I was younger! ^_____^

To tell you, San-Jie Kim's appearance is similar to Kanipan's when it comes to Kanipan's headgear, and clothing! ^_____^

The only difference is that, Kanipan has red hair, while San-Jie has blue hair :meow:

What I like about the shading this time is that the shadows are more distinct ('cause of the light colour scheme, I think?) :D

I think the rest have said what I wanted to say already haha! :P Add highlights, use textures if you want a worn out look. /orz

Yup! I may try to soften the shadings for it in the future. =)
Thanks for the comment!

*splits lungs with thunder, starts collecting blood in a pail*

With enough practice, pretty soon you'll be dealing out soft shadows, color gradients, and other Photoshop-y goodness enough to emulate painted works.

Oh gawd, I cant imagine how much softer it can get without becoming non-exsistent. >.<

Holy foot it looks great! See, I knew it! Adding colours is like fairydust man, this mech now looks good as. ^^ The shadows look really cool with what you've done so far.

Um lol ... I actually wrote a whole bunch of comments regarding possible additions to shadow placement ... then it hit me that the light source you chose is probably deliberately coming from the front and side, and NOT significantly coming down as well, like I thought. So those observations are all redundant. XD Tell me though, which the right light source?

Otherwise I'd just like to say, well freaking done. Now do more! =D JK, take your time, don't stress and make more doubly-awesome coloured ones. And oh, this colour scheme rocks more than the other one, because I'm such a Pokefan and this reminds me of Regigigas. =p

Oh, also also ... add shiny highlights. ><

I imagined the light source to be somewhere northwest. More north than west actually. But obviously my imagination whith lighting still leaves much to be desired. =(

As for the shiny, I created a new layer(alongside the shadow) and added white highlights to peak areas such as the yellow area on the shoulder and on the chest. But they dont see to be picking up well on the yellow. ><

Still, thanks for the review! The originally Zero-R was a supposed to be an aggressive killer. After Josh relooked the storyboard we channged him to be more of a gentle giant nature and the red scheme didnt seem very matching. So I choose the yellow one as the final design to reflect his personality.
